Ensures the quality and safety of palm oil products by developing advanced analytical techniques, validating methods, and setting contaminant limits to meet global food safety standards, while supporting MPOB’s mission to uphold international quality expectations through state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

Food and Feed Technology Unit

Advances the use of palm oil and its by-products through innovative research in food applications and animal nutrition, focusing on developing trans-fat-free products, fortified foods, and sustainable feed formulations, supported by specialized pilot plants, laboratories, and animal study facilities.

Nutrition

To generates scientific evidence on the nutritional benefits of palm oil and its phytonutrients through clinical and pre-clinical studies, focusing on lipid metabolism, antioxidants, and health effects, while serving as a reference center equipped with advanced research and clinical facilities to support public health and industry needs.
